60th CIFF

For the 60th Chicago International Film Festival, the organization wanted to highlight and celebrate the festival’s rich history. This meant focusing on major historical events to the city, showcasing important directors and actors, and thanking the fans who stuck with them all these years.

We began by refining the motion for our design language. Once we had animated the script we filled in the gaps with historical footage, and referenced past festival films in sync with the dialogue.

Our deliverables included a typographic trailer, and a 60 second reel that played before every film at the 2024 festival. It was surreal to see our work on the big screen alongside so many amazing movies!
